PARIS – BREST – PARIS 2023

A message from Jean-Gualbert Faburel of Audax Club Parisien:

The next session of Paris-Brest-Paris will be held next year from August 19 to 24. The rules will be roughly the same as last sessions. Pre registrations in early 2023 will help riders to enter PBP and to be able to choose easily their favourite starting time. To pre-register, riders will have to use the longest BRM ridden from November 2021 and October 2022. The starting point is not yet decided but Rambouillet should be the final decision. I will let you know as soon as possible.

NEW YEAR, NEW RULES!

Every support vehicle that wishes to participate in Audax Malaysia event will have to register with us beforehand. Special Audax Support Car sticker will be given out for you to put on your vehicle. Same rule as before, support vehicles are only allowed to provide help for riders at checkpoints only. Riders who are having problem with their bicycle are allowed to request for a replacement. Support vehicle are also allowed to pick up riders who are injured or wanting to DNF but they are not allowed to be dropped off at the next checkpoint. Any support vehicle that are not registered with us are not allowed to participate during the event. If caught, we will consider riders who received help from the unregistered support vehicle as cheating and will be disqualified.

ANNOUCEMENT REGARDING SECRET CHECKPOINT!

We at Audax Malaysia have decided to implement a new method of checkpoint which is Secret Checkpoint. So how does it works? Quite simple, the checkpoints won’t be appearing in our route map. So while you cycle along the way, you may stumbled into Audax crew screaming “checkpoints” to you.

“But how do I make sure it’s the official Audax crew and not some other creature from different dimension?”
